Objective of the Event:
The Entrepreneurship Mentorship Program was organized under the Student Start-up and Innovation Policy (SSIP) to equip students with essential knowledge about entrepreneurship, innovation, and business development. The session aimed to help students differentiate between entrepreneurship and traditional business, assess their entrepreneurial instincts, and understand the ecosystem of startup support in Gujarat.
Key Learnings from the Session:
The session provided a comprehensive understanding of the entrepreneurial journey, starting from idea validation to business expansion. Students learned how design thinking fosters innovative solutions by focusing on user needs and how entrepreneurship differs from conventional business models in terms of risk-taking, innovation, and scalability. They gained insights into self-assessment techniques to evaluate their entrepreneurial instincts and explored the government support systems in Gujarat, including funding opportunities and incubation programs. The discussion also covered the essential stages of entrepreneurship, such as ideation, prototyping, and securing investments, helping students navigate the start-up process effectively. Additionally, the session emphasized the importance of trademarks in protecting intellectual property, along with key strategies in branding and marketing to establish a strong market presence.
