OATH CEREMONY

INTRODUCTION: 

The Oath Ceremony for Nursing Students marks a significant milestone in their academic and professional journey. This solemn occasion is an affirmation of their commitment to the core values of the nursing profession, including compassion, integrity, and a dedication to the well-being of others. Held on 11/03/2025, the ceremony brought together the graduating nursing students, faculty and other key figures to celebrate their achievements and reaffirm their responsibilities as future healthcare providers. 

The Oath of Nursing serves as a reminder of the ethical principles and standards that guide nursing practice, ensuring that students are fully prepared to meet the challenges and expectations of their profession. As they take the oath, the students pledge to provide care with respect, empathy, and professionalism, reinforcing the trust that society places in the nursing profession. 

ОBJЕCTIVES: 

The primary objective of the Oath-Taking Ceremony for Nursing Students is to formally induct them into the nursing profession by affirming their commitment to uphold the ethical standards, values, and responsibilities inherent in nursing practice. This ceremony serves several key purposes:

  3. 3. Transition from Student to Healthcare Professional
  4. 4. Celebration of Achievements
  5. 5. Strengthening the Bond of Trust 

DETAILS OF CEREMONY: 

"The ceremony took place at Reform Club from 10 am - 1 pm on 11/03/2025. The event was attended by 150 students, along with several distinguished guests, DR. pragna dabhi (registrar of GNC), Mr Hitendra Kumar Zankaria ( NS of civil hospital) & Dr. Dhiren Avasiya ( advisor of Shreyarth university). Highlights included a stirring speech Dr pragna dabhi & Mr. Hitendra Kumar Zanakria, who spoke about the significance of the oath and the responsibilities that come with it. A special musical performance by our students followed the swearing-in." 

ACTIVITIES DURING THE CEREMONY 

"The ceremony began with an opening address by ms. Angel masihi, who welcomed everyone and explained the importance of the oath. Deep pragtya, prayer and welcome dance was done. Then speech of our chief guest were there. Following this, the participants were called individually to take theoath, after which they were officially sworn in. followed by academics report by principal mam & speech by guest of honour Mr. Hitendra Kumar Zankaria. Each year rank holder received a certificate and a trophy by chief guest. The ceremony ended with national anthem. "

KEY MESSAGES OR SPEECHES 

"The keynote address by Dr. Pragna Dabhi & Mr. Hitendra Kumar Zankaria was nurses continue to demonstrate resilience and dedication, often advocating for better working conditions, better pay, and more support for mental health and well-being. Their contributions to healthcare are invaluable, and the importance of addressing their struggles is vital for a healthy and sustainable healthcare system. 

The words of Mr Hitendra Kumar Zankaria that doctors are the brain and nurses are the heart of hospitals is a powerful metaphor that highlights the different but complementary roles these professionals play in healthcare. 

CONCLUSION 

The oath ceremony was a resounding success, with students expressing pride and gratitude for the opportunity to officially entry in health care field. The event served as a reminder of the shared values that unite us and the responsibility that comes with being a part of this community."
